Community Involvement

Green Mountain Multisport

Green Mountain Multisport Club

Timberlane Physical Therapy is proud to sponsor Green Moutain Multisport.  Green Mountain Multisport is a club, founded in the Fall of 2004, comprised of a wide-range of like-minded athletes striving to do their best both athletically and in the community to support multisport racing.

Encompassing all age ranges, both genders, and an incredibly diverse experience level from several first-time racers to current National and World Champions, the club endeavors to promote racing and its sponsors as a part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. While a portion of the membership is composed of world-class, elite-level athletes, the club is not, has never been, and never will be about excluding the beginning athlete or turning a cold shoulder to the community that fosters such development.

Grass-roots development of racers and racing is a guiding principle of the club. True development as a multisport family is the goal.

As part of developing the sport, Green Mountain Multisport’s Youth Racer Program is designed to introduce Vermont youth to the world of triathlon (swim, bike, run) and multisport racing. While geared towards kids who have swimming, cycling or running backgrounds (or are currently participating in one or more of those sports), it is an open invitation to anyone (aged 10 – 19) who wants to give the sport of triathlon a shot or see what multisport is all about. At a minimum, the goal of the program is to provide financial assistance to boys and girls so that they can participate in any Vermont triathlon. Additionally, the program strives to give kids positive role models, knowledgeable training information, mentors and training partners. Ultimately, the program hopes to develop the sport of triathlon from the ground up, allowing kids and then young adults the opportunity to develop skills useful in racing and transferable to the rest of their lives. Developing a single world-class triathlete would be extraordinary, but helping a dozen (or more) kids develop healthy lifestyles would be even better.
