Corrine Haddox, PT
Corey joined the Timberlane Physical Therapy team in April of 2003 after a much-needed move from Pittsburgh, PA. Her educational background includes a B.S.Ed in Athletic Training from University of Akron in 1999 and a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Chatham College in 2002. Before becoming a physical therapist, she worked as a personal trainer for four years.
Corey feels fortunate to live in an area that hosts a large marathon, several top-notch skiing venues, a great selection of triathlons and mountain bike races, and breathtaking hikes. With all of the activity, she has also had the opportunity to exercise her main clinical interest – treatment of endurance athletes. She not only has the clinical expertise to treat overuse injuries effectively, but in most cases can also empathize as she has experienced them herself. (Yes, even physical therapists get injured!) In addition, she also has an interest in pre- and post-natal exercise and musculoskeletal issues surrounding pregnancy.
Corey is an active member of the Green Mountain Multisport Club (which, incidentally, Timberlane Physical Therapy generously sponsors and supports). She has competed in triathlons for three years. When she’s not working, she enjoys road and mountain biking, hiking, swimming, running, and yoga. She lives in Waterbury Center with her husband Don, her dog Lance, and her cat Finnegan.
Corey’s main goal for her patients is to empower them with the tools they need to return to their activities, whether it is running a marathon or just being able to take a stroll around the neighborhood.
